Select Tools tab > Machine panel > Connect to control the connection between PowerInspect and the measuring device:
- If PowerInspect is not connected to the measuring device, selecting this option connects PowerInspect to the device; the Status indicator on the bottom right of the window changes to show the device status. Selecting this option does not connect open documents to the device.
- If PowerInspect is connected, selecting this option disconnects PowerInspect and any connected document from the measuring device.
Note: You cannot connect to an OMV machine.
