You can apply thickness to an open
, flat solid to create a closed solid
.
The opposite face of the closed solid is created by offsetting the open face.
To create a thickened solid:
- Select an open solid.
- Click Solid tab > Feature panel > Thicken to display the
Thicken Solid dialog:
- Use the dialog to control how the solid is thickened:
- Thickness — This is measured from the inside of the solid, along the negative axis of the surface normal:
Specify a thickness value.
- Reverse — The thickness is measured from the outside of the solid:
- Round corners — This makes the corners round in the new face of the thicken solid:
- Thickness — This is measured from the inside of the solid, along the negative axis of the surface normal:
- Click
OK to thicken the solid and close the dialog.
