How to use Particle animation
Learn how to use Particle animation.
Use Particle for repetitive content that might act like precipitation or be influenced by wind.
Below you will find the basic behaviors you can set for Particle. There are additional tools for editing your animation, see Boundary, Masks, Delete, Controls, and Granular.
Rain
Draw a line to set the point where the “rain” will start. Tap to change the direction of the rain.
Beginner example: Add rain to a scene.
Beginner example: Add rain to a scene.
Advanced example: Create anything from fire to a school, flock, or swarm of animated creatures. Use the Advanced Controls to slightly modify the behaviors, size, and opacity of the “particles”, so they don’t appear uniform.
Raining particles
Once you’ve either drawing something or imported an image, tap Animate.
Select Particle from the options that appear.
By default, Rain is already selected. Draw a line to set the point where the particles will start (are emitted from).
Note:If you want to change this line, just draw it again.
Tap
to change the direction of the rain.
Tap another tool or layer to exit Rain.
You can now use Wind, Move, Masks, and/or Controls to further edit your animation.
Wind
Draw a line to define the direction of the blowing wind.
Beginner example: Blow leaves so they don’t fall vertically or horizontally.
Advanced example: Create a path for particles to take to demonstrate airflow patterns or the path of an electrical current.
Blowing particles
