View Items in the Fusion Manage Panel
View detailed information about synchronized Items directly in Vault using the Fusion Manage Panel. The panel provides real-time access to Item properties, BOMs, and related data from Fusion Manage without leaving the Vault client.
The Fusion Manage Panel displays automatically when you select a synced Item or file in Vault. Use the panel to verify synchronization results, review Item details, explore BOM structures, and access related information. All data in the panel is read-only and reflects the current state in Fusion Manage.
Open the Fusion Manage Panel:
In the Vault client, locate the Fusion Manage Panel on the right side of the interface.
If the panel is not visible, click the panel toggle button or check the View menu to enable the Fusion Manage Panel.
Select an Item or file in Vault:
Click an Item in the Item Master view
Select a file in the file browser that has an associated Item
Choose an Item from search results
The Fusion Manage Panel automatically identifies and displays the corresponding Item details from Fusion Manage.
When you select a file from the Vault grid:
If the file has a single associated Item, the panel displays that Item immediately
If the file has multiple associated Items, the panel shows a list of all associated Items. Click the Item you want to view from the list
If the file has no associated Items, the panel displays a message prompting you to select a single synced Item to view
Review the Item properties:
The panel displays key properties at the top, including:
Item Number
Lifecycle State
Title
Description
Scroll down to view additional properties organized in collapsible sections. Click a section header to expand or collapse it.
Navigate through the panel tabs:
Click the tabs at the top of the panel to view different types of information:
- Item: View all properties and attributes
- Related Items: Explore items with relationships to the selected Item
- BOM: Review the Bill of Materials structure
- Related Changes: Check associated Change Orders or ECOs
- Where Used: See parent assemblies using this Item
- Files: Access attached files and documents
Explore BOM information:
In the BOM tab, expand or collapse levels to navigate the product structure.
Click Expand All to view the complete BOM hierarchy
Click Collapse All to show only top-level components
Use the view options to switch between different BOM views
The BOM displays quantity, position, and other component details.
Use panel actions:
Use the toolbar buttons to perform actions on the selected Item:
- Click Open In to launch the Item in Fusion Manage in your web browser
- Click Refresh to update the panel with the latest data from Fusion Manage
- Click Settings to configure panel display preferences
Navigate using breadcrumbs:
The breadcrumb navigation at the top of the panel captures the history of your interactions in the panel and displays it with a history of 15 entities.
Click any breadcrumb level to navigate back to that previously viewed Item.
The Fusion Manage Panel provides instant access to synchronized Item information, enabling you to work efficiently without switching between applications.
Panel states and messages
The Fusion Manage Panel displays different states depending on the context:
- Item not synced: If you select an Item that has never been synchronized, the panel displays a message indicating the Item is not yet in Fusion Manage
- No Fusion Manage access: If the Vault Connector is not configured or you lack access, the panel displays an error message with troubleshooting guidance
- Loading: While retrieving data from Fusion Manage, the panel shows a loading indicator
- No selection: When no Item or file is selected, the panel displays an empty state prompting you to make a selection
Tips for using the panel
- The panel updates automatically as you select different Items or files in Vault
- Use the panel to quickly verify that Item synchronization completed successfully
- Review the Related Changes tab to track engineering changes affecting the Item
- Check the Where Used tab before modifying an Item to understand its impact on parent assemblies
- The Files tab shows all attachments, including neutral format files like STEP, DWF, and PDF
