Create a change order from a change request
To implement an approved change request, you must create and execute a change order. You can either generate a new change order or link the request to an existing one.
Create a new change order automatically
When your change request reaches the Change Order In Progress status, the system automatically:
- Creates a new change order.
- Links it to the current request.
- Copies relevant details (such as the selected change template) from the request.
Link to an existing change order
To connect your change request to an existing change order:
- In the Related Processes section, select the existing change order process.
- The system links your current request to the selected change order instead of creating a new one.
Note: You can link multiple change requests to a single change order using this method.
Complete a change order
When the change order is completed, the system automatically completes the change request and any related problem reports.
