Right-click on an individual toolpath and select Edit to view the menu. Use these menu options to edit the active toolpath. Some of these options create new, modified toolpaths. Others modify the existing toolpath.
This menu contains the following:
Toolpath Editing History — Select to display the Toolpath Editing History dialog which shows a history of all the toolpath edits.
Transform — Select to display the Toolpath Transform tab which enables you to create a new toolpath by moving, rotating, or mirroring the active toolpath.
Limit — Select to display the Toolpath Limit dialog which enables you to create a new toolpath by limiting the active toolpath.
Divide — Select to display the Divide Toolpath dialog which enables you to create new toolpaths by splitting the active toolpath into two or more sections. You can divide a toolpath by Angle, Direction, Length, Time, or Retract.
Reorder — Select to display the Reorder Toolpath Segments dialog which enables you to change the order and direction of toolpath segments.
Move Start Points — Select to display the Move Start Points tab which enables you to manually realign the start points of closed toolpaths (such as constant Z, 3D offset, or optimised constant Z toolpaths).
Edit Within Region — Select to display the Edit Toolpath Within Region dialog which enables you to edit the tool axis of selected segments of a toolpath whilst preserving the toolpath contact positions.
Update Feed Rate Inside Boundary — Select to change the feed rate of a given area of the toolpath inside a boundary. This displays the Enter the Percentage of Feed Rate Change dialog. Enter a percentage of the feedrate and click . This:
Update Feed Rate On Chosen Surfaces — Select to modify the feed rate of a machine tool in specific regions of milling toolpaths. This displays the Surface feed rate dialog.
Lift — Select to display the Toolpath Lift dialog which enables you to withdraw the tool gradually from the cutting move as it approaches the end of a pass.
CNC Cutter Compensation Full Radius Repair — Select to apply the appropriate cutter compensation to a toolpath created in Version 8.0 or earlier with cutter compensation.
Sets the geometry position to Part and the cutter compensation to Full Radius.
If you do not repair toolpaths that have had cutter compensation applied in version 8.0 or earlier, when the toolpaths are recalculated, they have no toolpath cutter compensation applied and the geometry is used as a drive curve, rather than representing the part.
The geometry position can be Part, where the geometry represents the part, or Toolpath, where the geometry represents the drive curve.
Update Region — Select to recalculate an existing toolpath over a limited region of the part. This means that you could make a minor change in the model and then recalculate the toolpath within a boundary that contains the change. This technique works best on flat or shallow regions. The recalculation is done within the active boundary and not necessarily in the area where the model has been changed. The recalculation is based on the existing toolpath geometry and not on the input toolpath strategy.
Make Invalid — This is similar to Invalidate All from the Toolpaths or Boundaries menu, except that this option only applies to this toolpath rather than all toolpaths. For more information see Updating toolpaths when a model changes.
Set Named Parameter — Select to change a parameter in several selected toolpaths in a single operation.
Set Start Point — Select to specify the start point as the value specified on the Start and End Point tab of the Toolpath connections dialog.
Set End Point — Select to specify the end point as the value specified on the Start and End Point tab of the Toolpath connections dialog.
Set Rapid Moves — Select to specify the rapid move values as those specified on the Safe area tab of the Toolpath connections dialog.
Set Feed Rates — Select to specify the feed rates as the value specified in the Feeds and Speeds dialog.
Set Coolant — Select to specify the coolant as the value specified in the Feeds and Speeds dialog.
Select Plunges into Stock — This selects any connection moves which contain plunge moves into the stock.
Select Connections Missing Lead Ins — This selects any connection moves which do not contain a lead in.
Lock Connection Moves — Select to lock selected connection moves.
Unlock Connection Moves — Select to unlock selected connection moves.
Select Locked Connection Moves — This selects the locked connection moves.
Slices — Select to display the Slice Editor toolbar. Use the Slice Editor to delete and save toolpath slices.
Copy Toolpath — Select to create an exact copy of the toolpath. The new toolpath has the same name as the original with an _1 added. So, 10mmEnd becomes 10mmEnd_1. If you take a second copy it will be called 10mmEnd_2.
Replace Tool — Select to replace the tool in the toolpath with the active tool provided that the tool used to calculate the toolpath has the same cutting geometry as the active tool. This also resets the collision safety status of the toolpath if the complete tool assembly of the active tool is different from original toolpath's tool.
Delete Selected Components — Select to delete the selected toolpath segments.
