Properties for Legacy Appearance Assets

The properties of appearance assets vary depending on the rendering shaders used to render them.

A shader is an algorithm that tells the program how to calculate surface rendering. Each shader requires different information to render the material accurately.

The topics in the section describe the appearance asset properties for some legacy shaders. These appearance assets are still supported by Revit. However, new appearance assets may be available that provide improved rendering. See About Appearance Assets and Appearance Asset Properties.
