Edit Menu

The Edit menu gives you tools for adjusting animation data and working with controllers.

Copy

Puts a copy of the selected controller track into the Track View buffer. See Copy Controller.

Paste

Copies the controller track in the Track View buffer onto the selected track of another object or objects. You have the option of pasting as a copy or as an instance. See Paste Controller.

Transformation Tools

This submenu provides tools for moving and scaling animation keys:

Snap Frames

When on, keys always snap to frames. When off, you can move keys to sub-frame positions. See Snap Frames.

Controller

This submenu provides tools for working with animation controllers:

Properties

Displays the Properties dialog, which gives access to the key interpolation types. Different controller types offer individual options here. For example, the Position XYZ controller offers Fast, Slow, Linear, Smooth, Step, Bezier and Auto Tangent as key options, while a TCB controller will not show any of those controls. For some controllers this is the primary gateway to the animation parameters. See Properties (Track View).

Note Track submenu

Lets you add or remove Note tracks to your scene. You can use Note tracks to add any sort of information to tracks in Track View. See Add Note Track and Remove Note Track.

Visibility Track submenu

Lets you add or remove Visibility tracks to objects your scene. You can also keyframe visibility by changing the Visibility parameter in the Object Properties dialog when Auto Key is on. See Add Visibility Track and Remove Visibility Track.

Track View Utilities

Opens a dialog that provides access to a number of useful tools. See Track View Utilities.
