Isolate Curve (Track View)

By default, Track View shows curves for all animated tracks of all selected objects. You can use Isolate Curve to temporarily display only curves with one or more keys selected. When many curves are visible in the Keys window, use this command to simplify the display temporarily.
  • Track View > Navigation toolbar > Isolate Curve
  • Track View Key window > Right-click menu > Isolate Curve
  • Track View - Curve Editor > Curves menu > Isolate Curve

To turn off Isolate Curve, invoke the command again or simply highlight a different track in the Controller window.

Note: For Isolate Curve to take effect, Hide Non-Selected Curves must also be active.

Procedure

To use Isolate Curve

  1. Open the Show menu and make sure there is a check mark next to Hide Non-Selected Curves. If not, click that menu item to activate it.
  2. Determine which curves to isolate. After you use Isolate Curve, the remaining curves will be hidden temporarily.
  3. Select at least one key on each curve to isolate.
  4. Click Isolate Curve.

Now you can see only curves that contain one or more selected keys.

  5. To unhide the other curves, click Isolate Curve again.
