Support for Viewpoints Between Products

Can I update the filters, sectioning, and hidden objects in a viewpoint?
No, you can't update viewpoints. Create another viewpoint with your changes.
Why can't I save hidden objects in viewpoints?
If the Save hidden objects option is disabled when you save a viewpoint, one of the following reasons may apply to the file you are working with:
The file type has unstable element IDs
Each model element needs a stable and unique ID to be saved and recognized in a viewpoint. When you hide a specific element, the system uses the element ID to identify it and hide it again when you open a viewpoint. If these IDs are unstable and change, the system can't track which elements you wanted to hide.
The following table lists file types that don't support saving hidden objects in viewpoints. If you can choose a different file format for your model, consider using one that supports saving hidden objects in viewpoints:

An error during upload was encountered
When the affected file was uploaded, an error may have occurred that prevented the system from generating the information needed to save hidden objects in viewpoints.
If you encounter this, you can try the following:
- The upload process may not be complete yet. Wait until the upload is finished.
- Upload the file again.
- If reuploading the file doesn't work, you can contact support to take a further look.
