The following improvements are available in Action, Image, and GMask Tracer as tools, TimelineFX, or nodes.
Automatic Duration for Analysis Integration
You now have two options to set the range of the Motion Vectors, Normals Maps, and Z-Depth Map Analysis Integration.
- Custom Range: Only cache a specific range in a setup. This option was already present in previous releases.
- Use Setup Range: Automatically adjusts the From and To fields to match the Start and End frame of the current setup. In Effects, the duration matches that of the segment.
In Batch: With Use Setup Range, From and To match Start Frame (SF) and End Frame.
The Returning CameraFX Matchbox Shaders
The following CameraFX Matchbox shaders are making a comeback:
- BlurObjectID
- ChromaticAberrationObjectID
- ColourCorrectObjectID
- ExposureObjectID
- FogObjectID
- GlowObjectID
- RaysObjectID
These used to be available as 3D Selectives, but were removed when we added the Selective object many years ago. You can only use them with the ObjectID isolation mode, hence their name.
For other modes, use regular Matchboxes with the Selective object.
Improved Render Times
We've improved render times by no longer processing the Objects that you exclude from an Output. This means you should see faster renders for those Outputs that do not contain every object in the Scene.
