Query Count of Defects per Unit Length (What's New)

April 25 | This type of query is useful to determine the damage in a pipe in relation to its length.

For example, A 100-foot pipe with 10 defects will be in less severe condition than a 20-foot pipe with 10 defects.

To create a "Defect Count Unit Length" query, you must also add a filter for specific types of defects. See Create Queries with Defect Filters.

The following example query will find pipes with more than 2 Break or Hole defects per 200 feet.

When using this count field, Info360 Asset takes into account that for continuous defects, every 5 feet of length counts as one equivalent point defect. So, for a 15-foot-long defect, you will have 3 equivalent point defects.
