Zone Demand Profile dialog

This dialog allows the net inflow into a zone (calculated from live data points) to be compared with the demand assigned to network nodes in the zone.

The dialog is displayed by right clicking in the Zone grid (Live Data Zone view) and selecting Profile selected zone.

Notes:

  • The net inflow into the zone is calculated from the live data points grouped in the zone. The list of live data points associated with a zone can be edited on the Live Data Zone property sheet - Zone page.
  • The demand in the zone is calculated by summing the demand assigned to all nodes with Area Code matching the Zone ID.

Network and Live Data

You can drag and drop items into the selection boxes or browse for an item using the Browse button.

Required items:

  • Network, control and demand diagram are required for calculating demand assigned to the network. Start and end times in the Parameters section of the dialog will be set from the control data interval.

Note: Scaling coefficients entered in the Daily Coefficient and Monthly Coefficient grids in the demand diagram are not included when calculating network demand.

  • Live data configuration is required for calculating net inflow to the zone from live data points.

Optional Items

You can drag and drop items into the selection boxes or browse for an item using the Browse button.

Optional items:

  • Demand scaling - If a demand scaling is selected, the scaling will be applied to the calculation of demand assigned to the network.
  • Alternative demand - If an alternative demand is selected, the network demand will be calculated using the alternative demand values by default.
  • Run - If a run is selected, the items used in the run will be selected in the dialog. The start and end times in the Parameters section of the dialog will be set from the run start and end times.

Parameters

The zone to be graphed can be selected from the Parameters section.

Start and end times for the graph may be adjusted.

Options

Options for graphing network demand:

  • Demand Traces - options to graph total network demand, or to separate out the most significant demand categories (those that contribute the largest average demand).
  • Demand Interpolation - for selecting the point in each timestep where demand is calculated.
  • Alternative Demand check box - enabled when an Alternative Demand item is selected in the Optional Items section. If checked, displays demand calculated from Alternative Demand data. If unchecked, displays network demand.
