Listed below are prerequisites and limitations for the current version of the Issues add-in.
Prerequisites
- For Revit 2022, NET 4.8 must be installed: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net48-web-installer
Limitations
- No support for linked files
- Pushpins are visible for 3D issues and 2D sheets and views. Pushpins may not be visible for the following reasons:
- View has not been published or uploaded to Docs. To display issues in Revit, views or files need to be uploaded to Docs. Ensure that the file opened in Revit has been accessed either from Autodesk Docs or from a Desktop Connector file path.
- View is a 2D view or sheet published to BIM 360. Pushpin display is not supported for 2D views or sheets opened from BIM 360 projects.
- View is a 2D view or sheet published to ACC. Pushpin display is supported for all Revit types from version 6.0 onwards for ACC projects. The following view types will not display pushpins, because they are never published to ACC individually (i.e. as a single view, not part of a drawing sheet):
- ColumnSchedule
- Legend
- LoadsReport
- PressureLossReport
- Report
- CostReport
- Rendering
- Walkthrough
- PanelSchedule
- Schedule
- Issue pushpin positions may be incorrect when viewing issues on 2D views containing multiple crop regions.
- Models containing 2D views must be republished to ACC before pushpin positioning will be correct.
- The file or view does not belong to a Revit RVT file. Pushpins are only be displayed for Revit files. Pushpins are not displayed on other file types.
- The issue was created on a copy of the view or file in Docs. Use the Associated Models window to load the issues from the copy of the file or view. For additional information see Working with Associated Models.
- The issue was created on another view as part of a clash result. Use the Associated Models window to load the issues from the copy of the file or view. For additional information see Working with Associated Models.
- Create Issue Limitations
- ACC projects only (no BIM 360 support)
- Only supported for Revit 2022 and later
- Create issues only on 3D views that are not linked in Revit
- Create issues only on the main model (i.e. the file opened in Revit, not on linked or referenced models)
- Create issues only on RVT files
- Create issues only on views that have been published to Docs (make sure the view is included in your Publish Set).
- When an issue is selected, and the issue is visualised in the model, the camera is adjusted to show the same viewpoint as Docs,
except:
- Objects are not isolated
- Colors and transparencies are not applied.
- Section planes are not applied.
- The projection will not change between perspective and orthographic/isometric.
- For Autodesk Construction Cloud projects, only Photos are fully supported in the References section of the Issue details panel.
