Set up your connection

The system has the capacity to establish up to 25 connections. Only one connection is created for each identity provider at a time. Before turning on the SSO, a connection must be set up between the identity provider and Autodesk, and all domains must be verified. Refer Add and verify domains for more information.

Begin setup in Autodesk

SSO is accessible from the Settings tab of the manage.autodesk.com account for the supported teams. Following is the sequence of steps:

  1. Sign in to Autodesk account.

  2. From the top navigation menu, click Settings, then select Team settings. Ensure the required team is selected from the Team dropdown list.

  3. Navigate to the Single sign-on feature located in the User Management section. Click the Manage SSO button, Single sig-on (SSO) page is displayed.

  4. Select Manage SSO and click Set up connection.

  5. A page with steps Add identity provider and metadata, Add Autodesk metadata and attributes, Test your connection, and Link verified domain is displayed.

  6. Under Add identity provider and metadata section, enter a name in the Name this connection option. This name must be unique, not in use by another team or organization, and helps easily identify the connection between the identity provider and Autodesk. Also helps differentiate between the connections.

  7. Select your Identity provider from the drop-down.

Note:

  • Select the None of the above option from Step 1 - Add identity provider and metadata > Identity provider drop-down in case you are not using any of the listed identity providers.

  • If you're not sure whether the IDP is supported or not, contact Autodesk support.

  1. Follow the respective instructions for Automatic and Manual Setup in the identity provider.
