Derive a PCB

Use the Derive PCB tool to derive a PCB from a sketch profile in the active design and use this external sketch instead of the Outline Sketch in the 3D PCB.

  1. In the Design workspace, save the design.

  2. Click Create > Create PCB > Derive PCB.

    The Derive PCB dialog displays.

  3. In the Derive PCB dialog, select a sketch profile.

  4. Select origin by clicking a point from the sketch profile.

  5. Select X axis by clicking a sketch line or edge from the sketch profile.

  6. Click Flip X Axis to reverse the direction of the X axis.

  7. Click Flip Z Axis to reverse the direction of the Z axis.

Note: The Y axis is not selected directly, but rather inferred from the X and Z axes.
