Publish Drawing dialog box

The Design Web Format (DWF) is a compressed, secure format used to publish CAD data. Using the Design Review, you can present an accurate visual representation of Autodesk Inventor assembly and part files, weldments, sheet metal parts, presentations, and drawings. Use published representations to share information with customers, vendors, marketing, and others who do not have Autodesk Inventor installed.

Note: You can view drawings published as DWFx in Internet Explorer 7. They do not require the Design Review..
Access:
 

Click Export Export to DWF.

or

Click Save As Save Copy As. In Save Copy As, select DWF Files (.dwf) or DWFx Files (.dwfx), and then click Options to open the Publish Drawing dialog box.

Express

Select to publish only the active sheet without the 3D model.

Complete

Select to publish all sheets and all 3D models except sheets excluded from printing.

Custom

Choose sheets and 3D models to publish.

Note: The program applies any options set in the Properties and General tabs when publishing using the Express or Complete options.

Publish

Click to generate the DWF file.

Cancel

Click to close the dialog box and discard any modifications.

When you select the Custom option, the Drawing tab appears to set publishing options.

Drawing tab

Specifies whether to publish the active sheet or all sheets.

Sheet Name/3D Model Select the Sheet Name check box for each sheet to be published. Additionally, select the 3D Model check box to publish the sheet as a 3D Model.

Show excluded sheets

Displays or hides sheets in the list that are excluded from printing. Each drawing sheet has a property to print or exclude from being counted. If the sheet has the attribute to exclude it from printing, it is not initially displayed in the list to publish to DWF. Select the check box to add the sheets to the list.

Include Sheet tables

Select the check box to publish tables (parts lists, hole tables, revision tables, and genetic tables) included in sheets.

By default, this option is selected.

Note: Selecting this option does not affect Bill of Material or Factory tables.
Override sheet colors Select the check box to override the existing sheet color.
Sheet color override Click the command to open the Color dialog box and specify a sheet color.
