To Edit Feature Line Levels at the Command Line

Edits the vertex levels of a survey figure, plot line, or 3D polyline at the Command prompt.

Use this command to step through each vertex and level point. You can change levels and gradients, also insert, move, and delete level points.

  1. Click Modify tabEdit Levels panelEdit Levels Find.
  2. Select the feature line or other object.
  3. To select the vertex or level point to edit, press Enter without entering a value. You can also enter Next or Previous to change the direction the command uses to step through the points.
    • A triangle is displayed on the feature line when you select a vertex or intersection point.
    • A circle is displayed on the feature line when you select a level point.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Enter a level and press Enter to modify the level and stay at the current point. The updated values are displayed.
    • Enter Gradient and specify a gradient.
    • Enter Surface and select a surface to obtain the level from.
    • Enter Insert and select a location for a new level point along the feature line.

      The following options are available only for level points:

    • Enter Move and select a new location for the level point.
    • Enter Delete to delete the current level point.
  5. As you make each change, the feature line is updated in the drawing and the grading is adjusted.

  6. Enter Exit to end the command.
