To Specify a Gradient or Slope Between Points on a Feature Line

Use to edit the gradient/slope between two vertices on a feature line, survey figure, plot line, or 3D polyline.

Specify gradient, slope, point levels, or level difference between points. For the selected segment, you specify the start point, the level, and the end point. Then specify the gradient, slope, level or level difference.

  1. Click Modify tabEdit Levels panelSet Gradient/Slope Between Points Find.
  2. Select the feature line or other object.
  3. Select the start point of the segment you want to edit.
  4. Optionally, specify the level of the start point by entering a level or by entering Surface and selecting a surface to obtain the level from.
  5. Select the end point of the segment.
  6. Do one of the following to establish the gradient or slope between the points:
    • Enter a gradient.
    • Enter Slope and specify a slope.
    • Enter Level and specify a level for the end point.
    • Enter Difference and specify a level difference between the two points.
