Geolocate Your Revit Model for Forma

When connecting a model to a Forma scenario, specify a geographic location to provide a real-world context.

If survey data is available, use advanced geolocation

By defining advanced geolocation before connecting to a scenario, you avoid the intermediate step of specifying a draft geolocation.

1. Open the model in Revit.
2. (Optional) Check geolocation defined for the model.
3. If needed, acquire coordinates from the DWG file.
4. Connect to a scenario.
5. Define the model elevation.

If survey data is not available, use draft geolocation

1. While connecting the model to a scenario, click Set draft geolocation.
2. In the Draft Geolocation dialog, select a location and specify other details.

When you acquire detailed survey data for the site, you can replace it with advanced geolocation.
