Generate Submittals

The submittal generation feature allows you to create submittals directly from the Specifications tool in Autodesk® Build. This streamlined process helps organize submittals into sets, manage them efficiently, and publish them to the Submittals tool for further collaboration.

In this topic, you can learn how to:

Generate Submittals

  1. Select the specifications for which you want to generate submittals.

    This action activates the Generate submittals button at the top left.

  2. Select or deselect the specifications from which you want to generate submittals, and then click Next to details button in the bottom right.

  3. Create a submittal set to organize your submittals:

    • Enter set name

    • Enter creation date

      Note: Creation date indicates ...

      When done, click Next to generation.

      Note: Generating submittals may take a few minutes. Processing PDFs with raster data may take longer depending on the number and complexity of pages.
  4. Click the View generated submittals button at the bottom to view generated submittals on the Generated submittals tab.

  5. Here, you can copy, merge, delete, and add Submittals as needed.

  6. To publish submittals, click Publish at the top left corner of the page.

  7. Use Search and filter to search for specific submittals. See Search and Filter Submittals for more information.

Publish Pre-Draft Submittals to the Submittals Tool

You can publish one or more submittals to the Submittals tool on the Generated submittals tab.

  1. Select the checkbox next to the submittals that you'd like to publish to the Submittals tool.

  2. Click .

    Note: The number on the button indicates the number of selected submittals.
  3. On success, selected submittals are publshed to the Submittals tool.

Switch Between Table and PDF Views

You can use the list view/table view icons to switch between the views.
