Using Panels with Selective Node Improvements

Improved interactions between a Tangent panel and a Selective node.

This feature was suggested and voted up by users on the Flame Feedback portal.

In a Selective, after selecting a Keyer or adding a GMask, you can immediately use the controls for colour grading, Keyer, or GMask.

Alternatively, press Keyer or GMask controls while grading to switch control panel context so you can more easily navigate across the tool set.

Axis Controls—Edit the following GMask Axis controls from Tangent panels:

• Position (XYZ)
• Rotation (XYZ)
• Scaling (XYZ)
• Shear (XYZ)
• Centre (XYZ)

GMask Softness Controls—You can now edit the following Softness controls from Tangent panels:

• Softness Type
• Softness Position
• Softness Offset
• Softness Inner Offset
• Softness Outer Offset
• Add Softness Point(s)
• Delete Selected Softness Point(s)
• Select Previous/Next Softness Point

Keyer controls—You can now select the Keyer:

• Diamond
• Tracer
• Semantic

In the Tangent Mapper application, the various IM Diam modes have been renamed IM Sel (for Selective). And the list of sections are now sorted alphabetically to make it easier to create a custom mapping.

Tangent Element

On the Tangent Element, updated Axis and Softness controls are available in the following modes:

• IM Sel Sc Lin
• IM Sel Log
• IM Sel Video
• IM Sel Tone
• IM Sel Ctrl
• IM Sel Curves
• IM Selective
• IM Other

The updated controls are:

• TK module: hold B button (ALT mode) and press A to quickly navigate the various pages backward
  • Last page: Position, Rotation, Scaling (Precise when using B (ALT mode))
  • Page before last: Shear, Centre (Precise when using B (ALT mode))
  • Softness parameters are available on the middle trackball, between the Shear and the Center controls:
    • Softness (ring) (Inner Softness offset in ALT mode)
    • Softness position (ball) (Outer Softness offset in ALT mode)
