Explanation

You have set up to run a Microcellular injection molding analysis, and you have selected to switch from velocity control to pressure control By part weight (excluding runners), but you haven't specified the part weight. Enter a value between 0 and 1e+006. A common value for this is 90% of the weight of the part (excluding runners) produced from a regular injection molding. For example, if the part weight produced from a regular injection molding is 1000 g, then a typical value to enter would be 900 g.

Resolution

Enter, or correct, the Velocity/pressure switch-over (Microcellular) in the Process Settings Wizard:

1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
2. Confirm the Velocity/pressure switch-over parameter selection, and change it if appropriate using the drop-down selection.
3. Check the data entry box associated with Velocity/pressure switch-over (Microcellular), and enter a value, or correct the existing value.
4. Click Next, if necessary, to progress to the last page of the Process Settings Wizard.
5. Click Finish to close the dialog.
