To calculate the active Toolpath

Use the items in the Toolpath tab > Calculate panel > Calculate menu to control the calculation of the active toolpath:

  • Calculate — Click to calculate the active toolpath.
  • Queue — Click to calculate the active toolpath in the background when PowerMill would otherwise be idle.
  • Make Invalid — Click to invalidate the calculation for the active toolpath. This changes the toolpath to a batch toolpath marked with a .

    When the toolpath is locked by a Stock Model you have to unlock the Stock Model before invalidating the toolpaths.

  • Batch — Click to toggle marking the active toolpath as a batch toolpath.

    This toggles between and . When you process a batch toolpath (by selecting Batch Process from the Toolpaths context menu) only the batch toolpaths marked are processed. If a batch toolpath requires a disabled batch toolpath to create the toolpath, the disabled batch toolpath is calculated so the batch toolpath can be calculated.

    Batch processing works by creating an unprocessed toolpath, containing all of the parameters that would be used if you clicked on the Apply button on the current machining strategy dialog. This toolpath appears in the toolpath list with the prefix .
