Summary: Indicate the type of simulation to run with CFD2.

Flag:

dump_cfd2_file A

A = 0: Default. CFD2 is not activated.

A = 2: Run a flow-only simulation with CFD2.

A = 4: Run a thermal-only simulation with CFD2.

A = 6: Run a flow and thermal simulation with CFD2.

Description

Use this flag to define the type of simulation to be run with CFD2 in Autodesk® CFD 2016. This ensures that the correct simulation settings are sent to the CFD2 solver.

To run CFD2, you must configure the solver as described in the CFD2 topic.

• Additionally, assign a non-zero value for this flag.
• Assign a value of 1 to the mesh_BLSimplex flag.
• Set Split_Energy to 1 for a flow and thermal simulation that contains fluid and solid elements.
