Split_Energy
Summary: Enable the split energy formulation, which is necessary when using CFD2 for flow/thermal simulations with fluids and solids.
Flag:
Split_Energy A
A = 0: Default. Disables the split energy formulation.
A = 1: Enables the split energy formulation.
Description
Set this flag to 1 when using CFD2 in CFD 2016 to simulate flow and thermal if your model has fluids and solids. This is necessary to ensure that nodes are not shared across fluid/solid interfaces.
To run CFD2, you must configure the solver as described in the CFD2 topic.
- Additionally, if your model contains fluids and solids and you are simulating heat transfer, assign 1 for this flag.
- Assign a value of 1 to the mesh_BLSimplex flag.
- Assign a non-zero value to dump_cfd2_file.
