Starting Assembly modelling

To start Assembly modelling:

1. Select the Assembly tab to display the assembly modelling options.
2. Choose from the following:

• New — to create a new assembly.
• From Solids — to create a component in the active assembly from selected solids.
• With Power Features — to create a component in the active assembly using a Power Feature solid.
• Add Component — to add the component to the active assembly using the intelligent cursor.
• Add Component Advanced — to add components with axial attachments to the active assembly, using advanced options.
• Wizard — to create components using the Component Wizard.
• Attachment:
  • Attachment — to create relations between components using attachments.
  • Manage Attachment — to create new, and edit existing, attachments.
• Distance Explode — to explode the active assembly using a distance parameter.
• Angular Explode — to explode the active assembly using an angular parameter.
• Intersection — to check whether components intersect in the active assembly.
• Manage Source Models — to manage source models containing imported component definitions.
• Refresh Imported Components — to refresh imported components when a component definition has been changed.
• Convert to Local — to convert an imported component definition into a local definition.
• Generate — to create a Power Feature from a component.
• Remove — to remove a Power Feature from the selected component.
• Summary — to specify how Power Features are applied.
• Advanced — to specify intersection properties of Power Features.

Note: Any assemblies that already exist in the model are displayed in the assembly tree and all the buttons on the Assembly tab are active.
