Generating a Top Surface from Boreholes in the Geotechnical Modeler
The Geotechnical Modeler can generate a TIN surface for the ground level of the boreholes in the sample data (that is, an existing ground surface or "EG"). To create an existing ground, or ground level TIN:
Open Geotechnical Modeler tab
Geotechnical Modeler Panel Build Stratum Surfaces.Ensure the Top Surface checkbox is selected.
Ensure that the other surfaces available for creation are unselected at this time.
Select the Build Surfaces button from the bottom of the dialog box. A TIN representing the ground elevation of the samples should now appear in the Prospector tree:
