Welcome to the InfoWorks ICM 1D Urban Network Tutorial, which introduces some of the features which enable InfoWorks ICM models to be used for real time forecasting.
Once you have opened the 1D Urban Network Tutorial example database, you can use the example data to explore some of the real time forecasting features by completing the following tasks:
- Storing Time-Varying Data in Scalar Time Series Data Objects
- Carrying Out Simulations with Scalar Time Series Data
- Importing Telemetry Data Into Scalar Time Series Data
- Adding Radar Rainfall
- Adding Time-Varying Data as Model Boundary Conditions
- Setting Up Alerts
- Using Manifests
- Activating the ICMLive Server
- In the ICMLive Operator Client
You do not need to have completed the Basic Tutorial or the Structure and 2D Tutorials before starting any of the tasks in this tutorial, although if you are new to InfoWorks ICM, then it would be advisable to do so.
To allow you to restart the tutorial at any point, the sample database contains a copy of the data as it should appear at the beginning of various stages. This also leaves you free to experiment with the data yourself and still start each new stage with the correct data. Please refer to the Opening the example transportable database topic for further information on how to access the provided database.
