Keyboard shortcuts

Keys available for performing functions in Netfabb with a single keystroke or a keystroke combination

Global

These shortcuts are available almost always, mostly when no editor or module is active other than the default one, but also in those modules, too. Some of these require a selection of some kind, such as a part or a slice.

Note: If you had Netfabb installed previously, this may still be Ctrl+C. By default, that shortcut is now assigned to taking a reference to a part or a slice to the clipboard for use with Ctrl+V or via context menu option for pasting a copy of that part or slice.

Ctrl+C

Copies a reference to the currently selected part or slice to the clipboard. This is a special clipboard that is independent from any clipboard function provided by the operating system, such as for text or image data.

Paste

Ctrl+V

Pastes a duplicate of the reference to the current view, as applicable.

Note: The duplicate is pasted with the same orientation and location that the referenced part has currently, not as it had during copying, or taking the reference. Also, if the referenced part or slice no longer exists, nothing is pasted.

Free cut

Calls cutting with the respective mode selected

By default, these have no shortcuts assigned.

To call the part export immediately set to a particular file type, a keyboard shortcut can be set for each of the available file types. By default, no shortcuts are assigned to any of the file types.

Labeling

You can set up keyboard shortcuts to access each of the four modes of labeling directly, text, image, list, and tag. By default, no shortcuts are assigned to any of the labeling methods.
