Apply Post-Optimization Modifications

Smooth model surfaces in Optimization Utility and Netfabb to prepare for printing

  1. On the Properties Panel, click the Parts tab.
  2. Under mesh 3, expand the Lattice tree and set the values below:
Tip: Setting Surface Trim to Advanced was not done earlier, when Lattice settings were first entered, because this setting uses considerable computing resources, so it slows lattice processing at every stage.
  3. Under Surface Regions, Skin Modifications, set the Smooth Skin value to Coarse.
  4. In the Toolbar, click Create Component to apply the changes.
  5. In the Toolbar, click Export to Netfabb > Component as Mesh.
  6. In Netfabb, right-click the part and select Prepare > Run Repair Script.
  7. In the Automatic Repair dialog, select Extended Repair and click Execute.
