Use the Marking Options dialog to transform the selected curve and to customize the way in which Marking Out works.
The Enable Auto Accept Of The Actual Point options has PowerInspect mark a point and advance to the next point in the curve as soon as the distance from the blade to the part is equal to or less than the value specified in Tolerance for Accepting Points. When this option is off, you must select each mark out point manually.
Note: The Marking Out feature is available only when creating inspections for CNC and Manual machines.
- In the Marking Out dialog, click Parameters
.
- Specify any transformations to apply to the currently selected curve:
- Rotation. Rotates the item around a specified axis.
- Translation. Moves the item along a specified axis.
- Mirror. Creates a mirror image of the item in a specified plane.
- Scale. Resizes the item by a specified multiplier.
- Delete. Deletes the selected transformation.
- Edit. Updates the selected transformation.
- Test. Compares transformed coordinates with the original coordinates.
- Load. Loads a previously saved transformation and apply it to the selected item.
- To invert the values of the transformation, select Invert Matrix.
For example, inverting a transformation that has a scaling of 2 and a rotation of 30 degrees about X produces a scaling of 0.5 and a rotation of -30 degrees about X.
- For Tolerance For Accepting Points, enter the tolerance distance for the mark-out points.
- For Catchment Distance, enter the maximum distance at which the proximity indicator is displayed in the Marking Out dialog.
- To mark the point and advance to the next point automatically, select Enable Auto Accept Of The Actual Point.
The blade advances when it is within the Tolerance For Accepting Points value in the Marking Out dialog.
- To play a sound when the blade moves in or out of tolerance:, select Play Sounds When Moving In To/Out Of Tolerance.
- If Enable Auto Accept of Actual Point is selected, a high tone plays as the blade moves into tolerance. The point is automatically marked, and the target moves onto the next point in the curve.
- If Enable Auto Accept of Actual Point is deselected, a high-tone plays each time the blade moves within tolerance of the target point; a low tone plays each time the blade moves out-of-tolerance.
