Blisk Area Clearance Overview

Use the Blisk Area Clearance strategy for rapid removal of material when machining a blisk or impeller.

Note: Blisk area clearance only machines down to a level that it can machine completely.

Note: You must define the geometry that makes up the individual components of the blisk or impeller before you create a blisk strategy. Each component must be grouped into a single Level or Set.

The pages associated with the Blisk Area Clearance strategy are:

  • Blisk area clearance — The main page used to define the components of the blisk.
  • Machining — Settings to determine the offset profile, order, and direction for machining.

The remaining pages are common toolpath strategy pages.
