Using the Bar division tab you can define length of bars based on their commercial length and distribute bars in a beam. Division of bars is defined separately for main top and main bottom bars in 2 ways:
- With lap splices - when selected, you need to:
- Specify a method of defining a lap splice: either as a multiple of the bar diameter (the Coefficient option) or by specifying length of a lap splice (the Length option).
- Specify lengths of bars of the beam top or bottom reinforcement defined with a lap splice in the L1, S1, ... Li, Si fields. Note: Lengths of hooks are not included in the lengths of the extreme segments L1 and Li defined in the dialog below; they are included in the Model space.
- Define the maximum length of bars (if bars from non-standard databases are used).
- Over supports - when selected, define length of anchors above the support.
