Import a component from another library

Components can be imported from other, read-only libraries into your custom library. You can edit components in your library.

1. In the Data Panel navigate to the library you want to add objects to, and double-click it to open it.

2. On the toolbar, in the Create panel, select the type of object you want to import and click it to open the Add Device dialog:

   • Component
   • Symbol
   • Footprint

3. In the Add Device dialog, give the object a name.

4. In the Add Device dialog click Import to open the object import dialog.

5. Select one or more objects, then click OK to add the objects to your open library and close the Import Device dialog.
