  1. Click Data Exchange under the Collaborate tab.

  2. The connector interface opens, Click Load Data Exchanges.

    installation

  3. You will view a list of the Data Exchanges you can access in Autodesk Docs. You can also switch between different projects from the project drop-down list.

Important: The Down Arrow button beside the Data Exchange indicates that the Data Exchange is loaded from Autodesk Docs and not created by you. If you change the model, you can only create a Data Exchange with the latest changes but can't update an existing one in Autodesk Docs.

Load the Latest Version of a Data Exchange

When the latest version of a Data Exchange is available in Autodesk Docs, you can refresh the Connector to view the latest versions, and then select and load the Data Exchanges to your Connector by using the Load the latest feature.

  1. Click the refresh icon, you will see a blue dot on the version icon if a newer version of the loaded Data Exchange is available in Autodesk Docs.

    installation

  2. Select the relevant Data Exchange which needs to be updated from the list.

  3. Click the More menu and click Load the latest from the drop-down list.

  4. Select Layer to Category Mapping and click Load.

Unload a Data Exchange

You can unload the selected Data Exchange and remove it from the Connector interface. While this feature allows you to remove the Data Exchange from the Connector interface, it does not remove the Data Exchange from Autodesk Docs or the associated data from the AutoCAD model. This means that although the Data Exchanges may not be visible in the interface, they are still available in Autodesk Docs and AutoCAD software.

  1. Select the Data Exchange from the Connector interface list.

  2. Click the More menu and click Unload Exchange from the drop-down list.

    installation

  3. A pop-up will appear, asking if you want to unload the Data Exchange. Click Yes to proceed.

    installation

  4. This unloads the Data Exchange and removes it from the interface.

  3. A message displays asking if you want to unload the deleted Data Exchange from AutoCAD.
  4. Select the Data Exchange from the list and click Unload. Click Cancel to retain the AutoCAD objects of the Data Exchange.
