Adjust Selected Network Values Dialog

This dialog allows you to replace or adjust the values of one or more fields (properties) for a set of selected network objects.

The dialog is displayed when you choose Selection operationsAdjust selected values from the Selection menu.

Before using the dialog, you need to select all the network objects you want to change. Make sure no other objects are selected.

Dialog description

Network Objects

The type of object - Pipes/Ancillaries, Nodes or Others - for which the value is to be adjusted.

Field

A dropdown of all Fields (properties) available for the selected type of object, from which you can select the one to be adjusted.

The lower box displays the type of unit used by the selected Field (if applicable).

Object Types

Displays a read-only list of the objects in the same category as the selected Network Object.

When a Field is selected, any objects that also use the selected Field are checked, and will be included in the adjustment.
Tip: Removing the check will exclude all objects of that type from the adjustment.

Adjustment Value

Enabled when a Field is selected.

The new value for the Field. For numeric fields, the current value can be replaced or adjusted by a factor. See Adjustment Type for more information.

If the selected Field provides a list of options, a replacement can be selected from the dropdown. Or an option can be turned on or off.

Adjustment Type Enabled for numerical values and determines how the value is to be adjusted:
  • Adjust by an absolute value The Adjustment Value is either added to or subtracted from the field for each of the selected objects.
  • Adjust by a percentage The field is adjusted by either adding or subtracting the percentage.
  • Multiply by a factor The field is multiplied by the factor.
  • Divide by a factor The field is divided by the factor.
Adjustment Direction Enabled when Adjust by an absolute value or Adjust by a percentage is selected.

Choose if the adjustment increases or decreases the numerical value.

Note: Rounding Rules - When adjusting integer values by a percentage or using a multiplier, non-integer outcomes are always rounded towards zero. For example, a value of 3.6 is rounded down to 3 while a value of -3.6 is rounded up to -3.
