About picklist roles
The roles listed here are provided with this template. If you do not assign any of these roles to your team members, they will not find the Pick List Values workspace in their menu and will not be able to select any value from the picklists based on this workspace.
- Pick List Values [R]: This role provides read access permission to all records in the workspace. As picklists are used in many workspaces, all team members are likely to require this role at a minimum.
- Pick List Values [R/W]: This role provides write permission, enabling team members to add new entries and to modify existing entries in the Pick List Values workspace. Grant this role to administrative and privileged team members only.
- Pick List Values [OWNED]: This role enables team members the ability to find and select values that they (co-)own. This means that, by default, they will not find any value that they do not (co-)own. This role, combined with the additional ownership settings of each record in the Pick List Values workspace, enables you to hide selected values for defined team members. This can be useful to hide certain options from certain team members.
