These indicators also are listed in the New Products tabs on Product Line and Product Category level.
Milestones and Checklists This section lists the milestone states and details for each of these states to plan & track both the schedule and approval.

  • Required Approver defines the user required at the given milestone. This user is required to perform the given workflow transition in the product’s lifecycle or to approve the given checklist (if a checklist is defined). The latter one will transition the product automatically to its next status
  • Planned Date sets the given target date for the milestone accomplishment. This date can be set by the product owner and be changed at any time. If dates are not entered at product creation, the default milestone duration of the related Product Line will be used to determine default milestones based on best practices
  • Actual Date is set automatically by the system when a given milestone is reached
  • Duration is calculated automatically and determines how long a given product remained in the given status (example: Once the product reaches the status Product Development, the duration in column Development Start calculates the days between the actual date of Development Start and today. Once status Product Launch is reached, the given duration information will be determined by the number of days between the actual date of Development Start and the actual date of Product Launch)
  • Checklists provide the link to the checklists per milestone. Checklists will be created on the fly as the product progresses based on the selected Checklist Template.

Product Assessment Resources are limited and companies have an interest in assigning available resources only to the most important products. This decision-making process can be supported by this section allowing to assess given criteria of the project – to compare it against other product ideas. The assessment selected in here drives both the Product Class and Priority indicator in section KPIs.
