Activity 2: Launch the Fusion Manage Extension Site

In this activity, you’ll locate and open the Fusion Manage Extension site from three different locations.

Prerequisites

Before you can complete this activity, you must complete Activity 1.

Steps

1. Access the Fusion Manage Extension site from the Fusion web client.

   1. Open the Fusion web client.

   2. At the top of the page, click Process.

      

      The Fusion Manage Extension site opens to the main dashboard.

      

2. Access the Fusion Manage Extension site from an item’s properties in the Fusion desktop client.

   1. Open the Fusion desktop client and log in.

   2. Open or create any component. It does not matter what component you use, but it must be saved to a project.

   3. From the Manage tab, click Assign > Assign Item Number.

      

      Note: For now, you’ll use the default item numbering scheme. In another tutorial, you’ll configure new item numbering rules.

      

   4. Select the item, then click Submit. Wait for the item number to be assigned, then close the window.

      

      This has created an item for the component in the Fusion Manage Extension site.

   5. Open the Properties for the component.

   6. From the Manage section, click the item number.

      

      The Fusion Manage Extension site opens to the item in the Components workspace.

      

3. Access the Fusion Manage Extension site from the Manage tab in the Fusion desktop client.

   1. Keep the component open from the previous step.

   2. From the Manage tab, click Details in the Process Management section.

      

      The Fusion Manage Extension site opens to the item in the Components workspace.

      

      Tip: Click the other buttons in the Process Management section to see what they open.
