Evaluate the accessibility

Learn how to use the Accessibility Analysis tool in Fusion to evaluate the accessibility of specific parts of your design from a chosen plane.

This tool highlights areas on the model, making it easy to identify undercuts and regions that may be inaccessible or difficult to manufacture.

  1. On the toolbar, select Inspect > Accessibility Analysis accessibility icon.

    The Accessibility Analysis dialog displays.

  2. In the canvas, select the body or bodies you want to analyze.

  3. In the dialog, click Direction.

  4. In the canvas, select an edge, axis, or face to identify the access direction.

  5. (Optional) In the dialog, select an option to Change Direction:

    • Direction 1
    • Direction 2
    • Both Directions
  6. (Optional) Adjust the Opacity slider.

  7. Click OK.

The Accessibility Analysis results display in the canvas and appear in the Analysis folder in the Browser.

Tips

  • To edit the analysis, right-click the folder item in the Browser and select Edit.
  • To show or hide the analysis in the canvas, click the visibility icon visible icon in the Browser.
  • To change the direction of your view plane, click the arrows in the canvas or use the Change Direction options in the dialog.
  • If the design contains multiple bodies, when you move any of the bodies, the analysis updates dynamically.
