HtoA 6.3.5.1 - Arnold for Houdini

11 Nov 2024

HtoA 6.3.5.1 as a bugfix release that uses Arnold 7.3.5.0.

Installation

  • Download Arnold for Houdini from your Autodesk Account. See Download Arnold for more information about downloading HtoA from your Autodesk Account.

  • Follow these installation instructions

Bug Fixes

  • HTOA-2517 - Added a warning if the HtoA HDK API version doesn't match the Houdini API HDK version For example, i you use HtoA for Houdini 20.5.370 with Houdini 20.5.410, this warning would be printed because the HDK API was changed:

    • An HtoA release for an older HDK version may still work in newer Houdini production builds.
    • If a warning isn't printed, then that means HtoA is binary compatible with your Houdini version and you shouldn't need to worry about crashes or instability.
    • There will still be a HtoA build when a new Houdini production build is available. This is just a plugin stability sanity check if you need to use an older HtoA build in the newer Houdini while you wait for a new HtoA release.
  • HTOA-2762 - Cryptomatte metadata is now saved correctly when using the raster product type in Houdini 20.5.410 or newer. Note: In Houdini 20, you must currently use the latest daily build to take advantage of this fix.
