Get Exchange

The GetExchange node consists of two options, one is to Load a Data Exchange from Autodesk Docs and view its information as an object in the output and the other is to Create an empty Data Exchange and save it in Autodesk Docs after authentication.

  1. Click and drag the GetExchange node from the toolbar to canvas.

  2. The GetExchange node is placed on the canvas.

Read Exchange

  1. Click Load to load the Data Exchange. It redirects you to the sign-in page for authentication.

  2. Enter a valid email and click NEXT.

  3. Enter your password and click SIGN IN.

  4. Click Load Data Exchanges in the Connector interface window.

  5. Select Data Exchange from the folder. 

  6. Click Preview to view or click Load to load the Data Exchange.

  7. Data Exchange gets loaded in a few seconds and the Connector interface is closed.

  8. Connect the output of the GetExchange node to the Panel to view the Data Exchange information and the Data Exchange name appears beneath the node.

Create Exchange

No input Data Exchange as an object
  1. Click Create, it redirects you to the sign-in page for authentication.

  2. Sign in using your Autodesk credentials. 

  3. After successful Sign in, you must return to the Grasshopper application.

  4. If a latest version of your Connector is available, you will receive a notification.

  5. To download the latest Connector version, click Help menu and select Check for Updates. This will redirect you to the download link.

  6. To manually check for updates, click Help menu and select Check for Updates. This will redirect to the download link, or you will see a "no updates available" notification.

  7. Click Create Data Exchange.

  8. Key in the Data Exchange Name and location in Autodesk Docs to save the Data Exchange. Click Create Data Exchange.
