This topic describes how to edit object data fields prior to carrying out incident and response runs.
Fields can be edited in the Nodes window or the Links window, depending on the object type, or on the Properties window.
The advantage of the Nodes window and Links window is that data fields are displayed for all the objects of the same type in a single tab whereas the Properties Window shows the object properties for a single selected object only.
To edit object data fields:
- Initiate an incident of response run in the Run Manager
- If required, set run properties in the Current Run section.
- To edit parameters for a single object, open the Properties Window by selecting Properties from the Window menu or clicking the Properties button (
) of the Window toolbar.
- Click the
button for blobs and enter values in the Editor that gets subsequently displayed or type in the desired value for the field in the Initial Value cell.
- Click outside of the edited cell to save the edits.

- To edit parameters for several objects, open the Nodes window or the Links window by using the
/
button of the Window toolbar, or selecting Grid Views | Nodes / Grid Views | Links from the Window menu respectively:
- Objects are grouped by type so navigate to the desired tab.
- Edit the desired parameters in the grid. Context menu options may be used to sort, filter, set values. See Using Grids for more details.
- Perform the run.
