Cause:

One or more convergence tolerances specified on the
NLPARM (static solutions) or a
TSTEPNL (transient solutions) Bulk Data entry could not be achieved in the maximum number of iterations permitted (default 30).
|
|
|
Action:
|
Change one or more of the following parameters on the NLPARM/TSTEPNL Bulk Data entry:
- Increase the maximum number of iterations permitted.
- Increase the specified convergence tolerances.
- Increase the number of load increments.
A failure to converge may indicate a problem with the model such as high initial element distortion (skew, aspect ratio, warping, etc.), or invalid material properties.
