E5033

E5033 WARNING: E5033 RIGID-BODY STRAIN ENERGY CHECK FAILED IN ONE OR MORE DIRECTIONS
Cause: The rigid body strain energy in one or more directions exceeded the normalized strain energy tolerance (maximum stiffness matrix diagonal divided by 1.0E+10).
Action: Generally, the rigid body strain energy should be a numerical zero. One or more of the following should be investigated and corrected if needed:
  • Highly distorted elements.
  • Improperly defined RBE3 elements or MPC equations.
  • Unrealistic material properties such as excessively high Young’s moduli, bar/beam properties, shell thicknesses, spring stiffnesses, etc.
  • Finite length CELASi elements. See warning G3006.
Remarks: None.
