The Engineering Project Management template includes the three workspaces grouped under the Engineering Project Management category.

The Administrator can adjust the order and location of these workspaces in the main menu.

Workspace relationships

When working with the Engineering Project Management template, the general workflow is as follows.

First, a project template is created that contains a framework of milestones, tasks, teams, and team members. Templates are found in the Engineering Project Templates workspace.

New engineering projects are created based on a template. The template is used to generate the specific schedule of milestones and activities within the project based on the project’s chosen start date. Projects are found in the Engineering Projects workspace.

Each activity is created within the Engineering Project Activities workspace nested under a milestone activity. Each activity is numbered according to the project it was created under.
