Set up workspace picklists and fields

Note:

For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.

When you install the Quality Management template, you can use it immediately. However, you may want to set up certain connections between items and workspaces to improve data quality and traceability.

Note: If your site contained the Quality Management template when provisioned, these setup steps are not required.
Note: The Return Merchandise Authorization and Claims templates are included with the default tenant for Fusion Manage customers. However, they are not included in the Quality Manage template and must be installed separately from the Template Library.

This template comes with these picklists:

  • QIP Acceptable Quality Levels
  • QIP Inspection Levels
  • QIP Measurement Devices
  • Quality Root Causes
  • Quality Inspection Types
  • Quality Inspection Performed By
  • Quality Yes | No
  • CAPA Type of Action
  • NC Severity
  • NC Dispositions
  • Users, ALL by Name
  • Claim Priority
  • Claim Category
  • Return Location
  • Return By
  • RMA Product Disposition
  • FA Codes
  • Root Cause
  • [WS] Quality Inspections
  • [WS] Corrective / Preventative Actions
  • [WS] Quality Inspection Plans (In Use)
  • [WS] Non Conformance

The ones beginning with [WS] are picklists created from the workspace of the same name. See Create a Workspace Picklist for steps on how to create additional workspace picklists, such as one for RMAs and claims.

You may add these picklists to other workspace items as a field to create a link to it. For more information on configuring fields using workspace picklists, see Configure the Item Details Form, Create Fields, and Picklist Fields.

The following table lists the suggested fields to create in each workspace and the picklist to point to, if these do not already exist.
