Attach documents to a change notice
You may attach relevant documents directly to a CN to give a team member easy access. You cannot attach a document to a completed or discarded CN.
To add a document to a CN:
Locate the CN to which you want to attach a document, and open it by double-clicking the CN name.
Open the Documents tab on the left side.
Click the action menu (
) icon to the left of the Document category in which you would like to attach a document.
Select Add document.
The Add Documents window opens.
In the Add Documents window , click the + Add Documents button.
Locate the documents you wish to add from your local computer or shared location. Click Open.
In the Add Documents window, click OK to finish attaching the document.
Create a new folder in a Document category
- Locate the CN to which you want to attach a document, and open it.
- Click the Documents tab on the left side.
- Click the action menu (
) icon to the left of the Document category in which you would like to create a folder.
- Select Add folder.
- In the New Folder window, type in a new folder name.
- Click Create.
You can now add documents or sub-folders to this folder in the same manner as outlined above.
Once a document has been uploaded to a CN, click it to load its details on the right side. Documents here behave in the same manner as those in the Documents section of a project. Click the action menu beside the document to see all available actions. Assign and begin a workflow from the Document’s details view.
