Create links to CAPA processes

A problem report may generate a new CAPA process when you click the Initiate CAPA workflow transition. To enable this capability, you must have the CAPA field in the Item Details tab of a problem report linked to the CAPA workspace (See ). Additionally, the library script Change Management Library has to be configured as described here.

As shown in this image, the script defines three settings at the beginning. These settings match a default site environment, but you may have to adjust it if names and IDs differ.

Setting Description
workspaceCAPA Provide the internal name of your CAPA workspace to let the system generate the given CAPA processes for your Problem Reports.

If this is blank (“”), then the system will not generate CAPAs automatically.
linkCAPA Provide the field ID of the field in the Corrective / Preventative Actions workspace that will link the CAPA to the originating problem report.

Note that you have to set this field to the picklist type, enabling you to select from entries in the Problem Reports workspace.
fieldsCAPA List of fields whose values should be copied from the originating problem report to the CAPA being generateed.
